Changes made from film review

Almost as soon as we got our feedback back from the film review, we started to work on our project once again. One of the first things I did was change the volumes of things like the characters and the music. I made the characters' dialogue 200 and changed the music to about 50 so that viewers could clearly hear exactly what the characters were saying. I only did this in the scenes where the characters were talking while the creepy music was playing in the background. There were multiple of these scenes, so I did some and Hannah did some as well. I also changed the lighting in many of the scenes. I made it a little darker but changed other parts so that what was happening in the scene was still able to be seen. I made sure that the overall mood of the scenes was dark and scary, but the characters in the scene were still clearly seen. Again, Hannah did some while I also edited some scenes. While Hannah was editing on facetime, the rest of my group including me were all on the call together. We were all sharing our opinions and critiques as Hannah was working on the film. The reason Hannah was the one editing while the rest of the group was pitching in over facetime is because she has a tablet that she uses to edit. It makes it much easier to edit when it's being done on a tablet, so she took the liberty to edit that time. Unfortunately, while we were on facetime, my phone died. It took about fifteen minutes to charge so I waited until I could join the call again. I had missed some of the conversion but as soon as I got back to the call I explained my sudden disappearance to my group and they filled me in on what happened while I was gone. Some of the other things we worked on included adding in the shots that Nicole had refilmed. The new scenes looked way nicer and cleaner and it tied up the film very well. We finished making all the changes inspired by the feedback from the film review pretty quickly. Now that we're done with that we have a few more final edits to make to the film to finalize it and send it in!

Plans Gone Wrong

My group and I were supposed to start filming at minimum one day this weekend. My team and I had planned to get started on our film and finish at least a couple of the first clips. If not, it would at least provide a feel for how filming is going to go. Unfortunately, this was not able to be successfully done. It soon came up that my peers and I had previous commitments that weekend, which were not able to be postponed. For example, my mom told me when I got home that we would be visiting my friend out of state that weekend. I would be gone from that Friday night to the next Sunday morning. This left me no time to film since it would be too complicated to film on a school night. This is because I live so far away from everyone else in my group. Storyboard for Time for Dinner

Scene 1: The first five seconds will show clouds going down with "...Presents" and "...Production Company."  Scene 2: The next scene is a tracking shot of a very vibrant neighborhood with the actors' names.  Scene 3: The camera gets closer to a house and shows the film's name. Scene 4: The camera goes into the house slowly. Scene 5: The camera continues throughout the house that looks very put together. Scene 6: The kitchen is a little messy-looking and says "The Music by..." Scene 7: Two girls are shown talking muted as the "Directed by.." is displayed. They are stiff.   Scene 8: Sara grabs a chair and sits as she says her first line stiffly. Scene 9: This is a close-up shot of Lynn and she says her first line very smiley. The Editing has Officially Begun

We finally finished filming all of the clips necessary for our film. The last couple of things we had to do included getting Nicole to record a couple more missing scenes at home with her tripod. After this was done, we were finally completely done with filming for this project. We were able to start on the editing immediately. One of the first things I did was record myself screaming. This was so I could add it in as a voice-over over one of the scenes. Before I could do this though, I had to make sure of some things. I made sure that I did it around the middle of the day when most people were awake. This is because I live in an apartment complex, so I didn't want to upset my neighbors. I also didn't want to upset my own family by yelling too early or late in the day. I also told my family to not be alarmed by my scream because I had to record it for a project and I told them to stay quiet during it so their voices wouldn't be heard in the background.
