The Storyboard

Image
Scene 1: The first scene shows the main character lying in bed sleeping and the alarm is going off   Scene 2: The second scene just moves to a closer birds eye view. At this point, the lyrics are saying “long ago” signaling that he is dreaming of when they dated. Scene 3: The third scene takes a look inside of his dream, this shows flashbacks of when they dated doing things like holding hands, walking etc. Scene 4: When the flashbacks are over, the lyrics say “just a dream” and that’s when he wakes up and walks over to his phone   Scene 5: When he’s on his phone he goes to text messages and texts the lyrics as they play “are we still friends”  Scene 6: It shows her phone with the text message popping up  "can we be friends." you can see her from over the shoulder and she is just on her phone and the message pops up. This will also be an over the shoulder shot. Scene 7: He then says the next line "are we still friends." looking sad and vulnerable. This will also be

Props: In our research, we discovered that in most of Tyler the Creator's videos, he incorporates props. A common prop was a phone. We will use this in our music video. A car will be one of our props, also, an alarm clock, a dog, a leash, and maybe utensils and plates/cups.  Costumes: The main character who the story follows will be dressed in things like hoodies, sweatpants, clothes that give off sad emotions. The girl he sees at the end will be dressed in pajamas, and when she reveals the man next to her, he will also be in pajamas. Throughout the video, characters other than the main one will be in preppy, happy clothes.  Schedule: 11/18/2021 we will do our storyboard                    11/21/2021 we will begin our filming                   11/28/2021 we will continue filming                   12/5/2021 we will edit our clips  This schedule is flexible and allows makeup time in case last minute changes are needed. Location list: Our locations include my and Nicole's house fo

Researching

CAMS:  There is no music video for our song choice, Are we still friends by Tyler The Creator, so we looked at his other songs to do our research. We noticed a lot of usage of tracking shots. A character would be seen traveling from place to place. Also, the camera would pan across the landscape to show establishing shots a lot. There are also a lot of close-ups and POV shots.  CLAMPS: The costumes are regular attire, for the most part, nothing exactly special. Lighting depends on the scene, but a lot of his videos have an outside setting. As far as acting, we can see real emotion in all of the actors' facial expressions. The music is obviously the song in the background. Props used a lot were phones, food, and cars. The setting was generally outside, with a lot of nature, or inside with low depressing lighting because most of his songs are on the sad side.  SOUND: The sound is the song in the background, there are a decent amount of beat drops in Tyler The Creator's songs, s

My Group Again

For this project, I decided to pair up with three of my friends, Nicole M., Violet P., and Dara S. Before we paired up, our teachers announced to make sure we group with people we know will be good partners when it comes to getting work done, not solely because those people are our friends. Even with that said, we still knew it was right to pair up with each other. Of course, being friends with one another is an added bonus, but we also are genuinely good group partners. For instance, our relationships with each other allow us to communicate exactly what we need to say without there being any awkwardness or tension. Personally, I find this to be a problem with others that I don't have a close relationship with. This not being a problem for us allows us to communicate all the ideas that we have, making our project the best that it can be. For instance, we were all able to decide what song we are going to make our music video on, which is "ARE WE STILL FRIENDS?" by Tyler, T

Introducing Myself Again

Hello, my name is Mila Rakic and I am a student attending Fort Lauderdale High School. I am currently 15 years old and in my sophomore year of high school. I decided to take this class because I really enjoy filmmaking for fun. Ever since I was little I've always been fascinated with people filming and editing videos to create amazing finished products. I used to spend a lot of time as a kid on YouTube and on T.V. watching different people, places, and things. This interest in film has only gotten stronger the past year with me being quarantined in my house due to COVID-19. I would watch a lot of YouTube videos on my laptop to cure my boredom, and many of those videos are usually made by kids my age. Having nothing to do anyway, I turned to filming and editing videos of myself as well, creating sort of knock-off YouTube videos. I filmed many things, ranging from daily vlogs, videos of me doing my makeup, videos of my practicing volleyball, and the list goes on and on. Of course,
