Figuring out how to edit

Today, 10/11/2021, we began editing the commercial. I was the one my group decided would be the editor for this project. Therefore, my group sent over the final clips that were going to be used in the commercial. I began by putting together all of the clips into one big video. At first, all of the combined clips ended up lasting longer than 30 seconds. In order to fix this, I sped up some of the clips so that they would take up less time. After fixing a couple clips, the time was cut to 30 seconds. Then, I decided to clean some things up throughout the video. For example, some of the transitions were very choppy and needed to be fixed. I was able to change the transitions on iMovie. By switching the transitions, I made the clips flow into each other nicer. This gave an overall smoother feel to the whole video and made it look more professional and organized. Sadly, there's been another bump in the road in trying to finalize the commercial. At this point, the video is done being edited except for the music part. Neither I nor my group can decide on what song should be playing in the background of the commercial. Two of my group members want to play the song "Tequilla". However, my other group member and I aren't too fond of this choice. Personally, I feel like that song doesn't fit into the commercial that well. I  think there are better options out there that can be used instead. Luckily, we still have one more day of editing so I have time to figure out with the rest of my group which song choice is the best.
