The Storyboard
Scene 1: The first scene shows the main character lying in bed sleeping and the alarm is going off
Scene 2: The second scene just moves to a closer birds eye view. At this point, the lyrics are saying “long ago” signaling that he is dreaming of when they dated.
Scene 3: The third scene takes a look inside of his dream, this shows flashbacks of when they dated doing things like holding hands, walking etc.
Scene 4: When the flashbacks are over, the lyrics say “just a dream” and that’s when he wakes up and walks over to his phone
Scene 5: When he’s on his phone he goes to text messages and texts the lyrics as they play “are we still friends”
Scene 6: It shows her phone with the text message popping up "can we be friends." you can see her from over the shoulder and she is just on her phone and the message pops up. This will also be an over the shoulder shot.
Scene 7: He then says the next line "are we still friends." looking sad and vulnerable. This will also be a POV shot.
Scene 8: He falls back on the bed on "I've got to." Here he will be acting extremely sad. he will have crumpled clothes and look defeated. This will be a birds eye/god's view shot.
Scene 9: On know, he is in the car driving. the car is driving away from the camera, the shot starts out close to the car then gets farther and farther. This will be a medium long shot
Scene 10: Also on "know" he is parking the car at her house. it will show the outside of the car from the side. This will be a medium shot that shows the car.
Scene 11: On "but I've got to know" he is telling her along with "are we still friends." This shot will have both of them in the frame, and have her on the inside of the door with him outside on her porch. This will be a medium shot.
Scene 12: She shuts the door and he still says "are we still friends." He is standing head down looking sad body language. This will show him acting very sad as well. This will be a medium shot.
