Group

I'm so excited to start this project with a new group and see what Violet Roberts, Dara Sedaka, Addison Walker, and I can accomplish together. Well, it's not actually a completely new group of people. I was already previously partnered with two of the people in my current group, in the past. Violet and Dara were both in my group last year, along with another student, and we did multiple projects together. I felt that the way each of our individual skills worked together always made for a great outcome. Last year, we did run into some problems though. It caused our group to break up and it was the reason why we didn't work together for the final project. However, I don't think this conflict will bring up and problems this time around. This is because the issue that arose wasn't between me and Violet and Dara, but the other student. Therefore, there shouldn't be any problems between our group now that that other student isn't in the group anymore. Still, from observing the situation last year, I was able to see firsthand how important communication within the group is, so now I know how to be even better this year. I also learned about what to avoid so that the same problems don't come up again this year. All in all, I'm feeling very prepared for this year's work. I have an idea of what to expect from last years work, and I already have experience working with my group members from last year as well. I'm also excited to work with Addison for the first time. I have known her for a while and I have no doubt that she is going to be an excellent partner. I have never worked with her before on a school project so I can't wait to see the types of ideas she'll bring to the table. It will also be really easy to work together because all four of us have the class in the same period and we sit together. We will be able to talk to each other in person every time we have the class instead of having to text or call every time. I'm sure this will eliminate the chances of things getting interpreted wrong over the phone and will just make everything easier overall.

Plans Gone Wrong

My group and I were supposed to start filming at minimum one day this weekend. My team and I had planned to get started on our film and finish at least a couple of the first clips. If not, it would at least provide a feel for how filming is going to go. Unfortunately, this was not able to be successfully done. It soon came up that my peers and I had previous commitments that weekend, which were not able to be postponed. For example, my mom told me when I got home that we would be visiting my friend out of state that weekend. I would be gone from that Friday night to the next Sunday morning. This left me no time to film since it would be too complicated to film on a school night. This is because I live so far away from everyone else in my group. Storyboard for Time for Dinner

Scene 1: The first five seconds will show clouds going down with "...Presents" and "...Production Company."  Scene 2: The next scene is a tracking shot of a very vibrant neighborhood with the actors' names.  Scene 3: The camera gets closer to a house and shows the film's name. Scene 4: The camera goes into the house slowly. Scene 5: The camera continues throughout the house that looks very put together. Scene 6: The kitchen is a little messy-looking and says "The Music by..." Scene 7: Two girls are shown talking muted as the "Directed by.." is displayed. They are stiff.   Scene 8: Sara grabs a chair and sits as she says her first line stiffly. Scene 9: This is a close-up shot of Lynn and she says her first line very smiley. The Editing has Officially Begun

We finally finished filming all of the clips necessary for our film. The last couple of things we had to do included getting Nicole to record a couple more missing scenes at home with her tripod. After this was done, we were finally completely done with filming for this project. We were able to start on the editing immediately. One of the first things I did was record myself screaming. This was so I could add it in as a voice-over over one of the scenes. Before I could do this though, I had to make sure of some things. I made sure that I did it around the middle of the day when most people were awake. This is because I live in an apartment complex, so I didn't want to upset my neighbors. I also didn't want to upset my own family by yelling too early or late in the day. I also told my family to not be alarmed by my scream because I had to record it for a project and I told them to stay quiet during it so their voices wouldn't be heard in the background.
