Genres I am looking into

Based off the movie idea we chose we are going to research three genre types. The first one will be drama. since the movie has a serious tone and there is conflict in the film, this would fall under drama. We are also going to search up the thriller genre. The reason for this is because the film creates a weird feeling in the audience. Something feels off and almost as if they are in a dream. The suspense makes the watcher's feelings heighten and when they watch the end it all makes sense. Not only that but the two girls are trying to solve a mystery and when they are close to figuring it out, something happens. The last one is horror. If we decide to make the film scarier and more graphic we could choose this one however at the moment we aren't doing anything that would fit under the horror genre besides for the mystery they are solving. Since horror is about scaring the audience and maybe even repulsing them. This genre would be interesting to include to our film so that is why we will research it. These are the genre types that we think would fit best to the movie idea we have. Not only do we think it would fit best but we all enjoy the genres as well. It is always good when you enjoy watching the genres because it makes it easier to film and more fun

Plans Gone Wrong

My group and I were supposed to start filming at minimum one day this weekend. My team and I had planned to get started on our film and finish at least a couple of the first clips. If not, it would at least provide a feel for how filming is going to go. Unfortunately, this was not able to be successfully done. It soon came up that my peers and I had previous commitments that weekend, which were not able to be postponed. For example, my mom told me when I got home that we would be visiting my friend out of state that weekend. I would be gone from that Friday night to the next Sunday morning. This left me no time to film since it would be too complicated to film on a school night. This is because I live so far away from everyone else in my group. Storyboard for Time for Dinner

Scene 1: The first five seconds will show clouds going down with "...Presents" and "...Production Company."  Scene 2: The next scene is a tracking shot of a very vibrant neighborhood with the actors' names.  Scene 3: The camera gets closer to a house and shows the film's name. Scene 4: The camera goes into the house slowly. Scene 5: The camera continues throughout the house that looks very put together. Scene 6: The kitchen is a little messy-looking and says "The Music by..." Scene 7: Two girls are shown talking muted as the "Directed by.." is displayed. They are stiff.   Scene 8: Sara grabs a chair and sits as she says her first line stiffly. Scene 9: This is a close-up shot of Lynn and she says her first line very smiley. The Editing has Officially Begun

We finally finished filming all of the clips necessary for our film. The last couple of things we had to do included getting Nicole to record a couple more missing scenes at home with her tripod. After this was done, we were finally completely done with filming for this project. We were able to start on the editing immediately. One of the first things I did was record myself screaming. This was so I could add it in as a voice-over over one of the scenes. Before I could do this though, I had to make sure of some things. I made sure that I did it around the middle of the day when most people were awake. This is because I live in an apartment complex, so I didn't want to upset my neighbors. I also didn't want to upset my own family by yelling too early or late in the day. I also told my family to not be alarmed by my scream because I had to record it for a project and I told them to stay quiet during it so their voices wouldn't be heard in the background.
